Had a good day planned watching the football with my mates, with what could catch of the Rugby thrown in for good measure and guess what I have a stinking cold... Looks like I'll be staying home and watching the rugby and football alone!
Up with the larks to take Mrs B to work and get an early start on some writing...
Enjoy your day all

Ruddy heck. Our boiler has packed up, it's chuffin' freezing in here.
Bit nervous about the game tonight, but I'm looking forward to watching it.
Not done anything else this morning except huddle round one small electric heater.
More tea needed.

Morning
You know that "it is going to snow" sky - grey with a tinge of yellow? I've just seen the fecker outside. If the lovely Laura Tobin's weather maps are to be believed however, if we do get any white stuff it will be quickly followed by wet stuff. Baz and Pat are more likely to get the proper white out.
Trust St Andrews can cope with the weather and we can settle down with our dogs to watch Saints on telly. If it were a work of fiction, birthday boy Billy Sharp would score the winner. I see Sky have snuck in West Ham v Millwall at lunchtime too. Deffo watch those two who are very high on our current TO DO list.
Garage won't have a new tyre for the Fusion till Monday so I borrowed Drew's Beast to go to B&Q yesterday. It was 0C in Ryde but when I stopped at Firestone to walk me dogs it was 3C. Was hoping to buy some traditional wood curtian poles but B&Q had a piss poor range. The only ones long enough for what I need were "white flecked with gold" FFS! Might look good in a knocking shop but not in my bastard lounge. Ended up buying some metal ones - looks like brass but guess it is some alloy. At least they look the part.
In defference to the weather we are having porridge for breakfast today.
COYR!

Ello Ello Ello, what have we here then? I was determined to have a lie in today, but a combination of the bladder and cat have denied me despite several attempts to go back to sleep.. grr. At least I get to see a bit of the cricket before either the mrs gets up or it's all over. Bit of pottering this morning, might nip to the chinese supermarket; then we've got a mate coming over for lunch & maybe a bit of a pissup, then obv settling in front of the gogglebox for the footer (weather allowing). Bit of a tense one; I know that a win is unlikely so early in the renaissance plan against a Brum on form, but it'd be massive if we could turn them over. After the last month or so, it's about time we really performed for the full 90, and hopefully we've now got the team back/in to do so. More tea, vicar.

...well the commentators are saying "I'm certain I heard a sound" Speaking of the dreaded S word, it is promised here, but it's bright and sunny out, so that's a bit odd.

Morning. British Transport Commission (Southampton) vs Hiltingbury has fallen victim to the cold weather, so I'm very much at a loose end until 17.20.
I know some may think Lostboy and I are overplaying this, but Nige, please, please, please DON'T play 4-4-2 tonight...

Good morning special ones I was woken by one of our cats deciding I needed to be jumped on. Bengal cats are bastards. Couldn't get back to sleep because last night's curry kicked in and decided to make a rapid sprint for the exit so here I am, exhausted, sipping coffee and watching the lovely weather girl on telly. I'll wander over into Beastleigh to get the mane trimmed later but that looks like being the most active thing I manage today. Saints to get a win today I reckon.

G'day stayathomes and travellers
No sign of any white stuff in Sussex(E) - nor any forecast, so fingers crossed.
A haircut for me too, plus a little DIY. A tap in the garden blew out yesterday, I'll have to strip the insulation off and see what's to do and if we need a plumber. But I'll leave the supply off until it stops being so cold.
Am looking forward to watching a rampant Saints rule tonight's match!
Tea and SOTS (R2)
Have a good day, y'all

Morning geezers, cold outside, mrs golac still gone for a run though, so sat here with four kids, only two mine, watching Transformers 2. Taking them to FFF in Romsey shortly to wear them out, then a bit of maint on the bike, maybe a short ride, then footie and birthday dinner with friends
Got a good feeling about today's game, we need to beat a rival

Morning, am I the only one wanting the game called off? I said I would drive and now that looks like a rather ill advised decision. Getting home from Brum looks like it might be interesting. In other news (un) Easyjet are utter tw@ts. 12kg allowance for sporting equipment is a p%ss take if all your kit weighs 22kg. The flights are cheap but they recoup that in baggage charges. I know this might sound naive in the ways of budget airlines but I've travelled all over the world with my snowboard and never had an issue.
Saints win 2-3, if played.

afternoon outsiders
We have a seriously large water butt at the bottom of the garden that feeds of the shed roof, this thing must be easily 3 1/2 feet deep and it is solid ice from top to bottom… We had to come inside to get water for the chickens!
now all that whether nonsense is out of the way I can say I am hoping all you optimists are accurate for if this game is played I have a bad feeling (but I was wrong about TChung last week so what do I know?)
Tone, I hope you can get a plumber, this is not the weekend to be without heating!
take it easy folks

Morning all. So that's what BTC stands for? I've spent enough time at their ground and in the clubhouse so I should have known really. Yup, been going since the 1920s. Although how they came to own that land I have no idea. Just had a call asking if I fancied playing for the 2s, got halfway to the ground (in bloody Hedge End), then got another call to say the ref had called it off. Bloody weather.

You and I must know a few of the same people... Although I believe most of the people I knew that played for them left on mass to play for a different team
