Don't know why but after that, I'm more confident of promotion.
Shame Billy Sharp did not hit his chance first time..
I'll take a draw, but thought we were the better team, even though they had more chances.

We certainly showed a bir of gumption trying to play real footer in that shit, but the unwillingness / inability to get shots on target is a bit of a bugger.

It was interesting that we actually played some nice stuff tonight in the middle third, but when we got into the final third all quality disappeared. Therefore that can't have been completely to do with the snow.

I've never known a game where so many of our forward passes hit opponents. It may have been the snow, it maybe that Brum are ace at closing down but it was frustrating to watch.
Had the lad Zigic been fit they might have caused us real problems but what they threw at us yesterday, Kelvin coped with.
We've now played the leagues' two "form teams" back to back, not played as well as we can, yet we are still second.
I know I keep saying I don't care if we are first or second as long as we go up. In the greater scheme of things that remains true. But if there is any justice, Saints will win this league. We deserve to. Our brand of football will enhance the Premier League whereas West Ham will plummet straight back into a relegation scrap.

BTW - anyone know why SRL did not shoot from the free kick at the death?

BTW - anyone know why SRL did not shoot from the free kick at the death? that was annoying.. my only guess is that as so many aerial passes were going astray, he thought there was no guarantee he could get anywhere near the goal?

My thoughts too, but anywhere near the goal would have given us a chance. Was very odd move.

BTW - anyone know why SRL did not shoot from the free kick at the death? Im sure confidence came into it. Rickie hasn't scored a free kick for about a season. And hitting the ball cleanly with pace and spin would be very difficult in the snow because you need to be very sure of your footing.

I think that getting the ball into the crowded box in those conditions was a good tactic.
