Morning Eggs. Two McDonalds breakfasts in two days. I'm simultaneously trying out TUI. Is that a bad idea? Yes. It's a terrible idea. Thar be monsters.

Hi all. Seem to have missed something but I hope Mrs Y is OK. Dickens is a good bloke in my book. I've just re-subscribed to the Folio Society because they have a great renewal offer with 5 of his books. I've already got them but you can't have too many imho. I had to LOL at South Today trying to make out that Dickens had major links with Pompey. He was born there and left when he was three. Everyone knows he preferred Rochester. Yes, I saw that. As soon as he could walk he hot-footed it out of there. I love the first road sign you see when you come off the ferry from France: Out of city. Says it all ...

What deal are they offering? I've already renewed (and had a different deal) so all I have is them listed at full price. I do have them from other houses but if it's a really good deal I'll order a set for the cat! FFS I've just looked online...19.95 the set; a saving of £210! That's a deal.

When my great grandfather died, I asked my grandmother to keep his collection of Dickens novels. Not first editions but 19th century, leather bound. Sadly, she forgot and sold them to a local book dealer. Maybe she thought that as a struggling Eng Lit student I could not afford them. She was, of course, rigth but how I would love to have them. I have my Dad's first edition Winnie the Pooh series and a 6th edition 18thC Johnson's dictionary.
