Start of a new week and this week the sprogs are back at school, thank feck!
Loved the China GP yesterday - fabulous to see a Mercedes win and even better to see a Lotus mixing it at the front. Better tyre management will see them on the podium f'sure. The McLaren boys also had a good afternoon. Nice to see them nail Vettel in the closing laps.
Watched the BBC coverage and it was interesting to hear DC going on about nursing the rubber - that is pretty much what it has come down to. Every other aspect of car performance - engines, gearboxes, fuel, suspension, etc - is so nailed down in terms of reliability these days it has become a battle of tyre strategies. That said, anything that produces the sort of wheel to wheel racing we saw yesterday gets a huge thumbs up from me.
Will be ditching my old PC soon. Spent a lot of time copying files and photos yesterday. Once I'm sure the contents are securely backed up (on a memory stick I got for a couple of quid in Sainsburys) it is bound for the tip.
I need to do stuff in the garden before the bloody rain returns. Hoped to do some yesterday but having tramped the spaniels over Wroxall Down in that bitter wind I needed rest - and the stonking beef stew I made for tea. Watched Chelsea (Hooray) and Silent Witness - is it me or is the current series uttershite? Bring back Sam Ryan FFS!
Now off to work you working sorts and don't hang about.

Morning Outys, I continue to boycott Waitrose. I will not step foot in that shop again after their sponsees actions on friday evening. Some may consider it a futile gesture but one has to make a stand. Is it OK if Mrs. hidden pops in because I love their fish fingers? I thought so too. Lovely day, potentially.

Ice scrapy scrapy this morning. I have to do a full week at work this week, I quite enjoyed last week's two day week, I think we should do that more often.
It was sunny but bloody freezing at the Sporty yesterday.
Stupids.

Morning.
I enjoyed the Chinese GP as well. I confess I did give out an involuntary cheer when Michael Schumacher's pitstop went all awry and they didn't tighten one of his wheel nuts. Great drive by Button in spite of a problematic final pitstop.
Sun shining here, but for how long?
Right, a quick tea and out of the house.

F1 is still shit. If they really want to make it interesting then they need to cut out pit-stops and "strategies" and make them nurse their tyres from beginning to end!

G'day
Sun shiny thing here too and white icy stuff again. (Am I turning into Stanley Unwin?*)
I caught the 2nd half of the Spurs v Chelski match - I remember thinking at the time 'Wouldn't it be nice if both teams could lose'. And I'm not in the least, normally, a mean-spirited sort of person.
I've been coughing and sneezing all weekend and feeling totally washed out - should I risk a few days in France or will I just get there and crash out which would be a bit pointless? Maybe I'll try golf tomorrow and see how I respond to that.
Best wishes to Mr & Mrs Batts today.
Another Jo Nesbo to read, shuffling. New jam to post later.
Have a good day y'all
*Mainly older readers will know who he is.

Morning
Good thing about Friday matches is that you can forget about them and enjoy the weekend and I got loads done, including taking two trees out of the garden, bastard things.
I actually watched the last 25 or so laps of the Grand Prix and found it to be a really compelling watch and I've never watched it before for more than 10 min without getting bored
I'll jam later, I'm a little short of inspiration at present.

Naa bollocks, it's fecking monday... and don't you listen to the lying cove Spot, fecking 4by4whores are out on the roads of Surrey again after a couple of weeks of peace. Oh for a Chieftan... ..and I'm short staffed again, fooking slackers; so lots of arsewiping to do. Unfortunately I only managed half the GP, and none of Arry's embarassment. But we did have quite a nice dinner and we have lots of new things in the garden, so I guess it was a productive day. We watched Any Given Sunday in the evening, maybe Nige could pick up a few tips at being a shouty-sweary coach from Pacino? Still a bit miffed about Fri and the fact I didn't get a birthday present... & I too will be boycotting Waitrose.

F*ck off West Ham you horrible bunch of c*nts. You're shit, your manager is a shit c*nt and your fans are a shouty clump of divs. Stay down in the Championship until you learn some f*cking manners.
