Since it's in the press, it's probably not true, but he's just the sort of player I'd like to see us looking at; - from small-to-med-clubs in Spain, Italy, Germany who need to offload their talent for financial reasons, who will most likely be significantly better than the equivalently-priced player from the UK.

I've made no secret of the fact that I believe if Blackpool don't go up I think we should be going all out for Ince and M Philips FFS with Lambert up front feeding off of those two we'd be SUPERB

Matt Phillips is someone I've banged on about since his Wycombe days. Quality player not being best served by Holloway at the moment.

Do you reckon the "Southampton interest" for Michu is 'cos it's being discussed on here?!

Let's hope that Blackpool fail in the play offs, because if so now would be the time to get Phillips. For me he would most definitely solve the quick right midfield hole that I referred to earlier.

Of course, we have some kids that must be getting close to the first team and with 7 subs next year, they may get a few chances.

No!! no, no, no, no, no. It's going to be like this all summer isn't it. Linked with just about anyone that's even walked into a Premiership team's dressing room.

Of course, we have some kids that must be getting close to the first team and with 7 subs next year, they may get a few chances. the penultimate beeb article quotes Nige as saying that's where he wants to be focussing his squad development aims and that any purchases will be made just to augment that strategy, not replace it.
