But looking back I find it quite funny that although we were doing a collection I still had to show my season ticket to make sure I had a ticket to the game. just incase it was a reason to sneak in. good grief happy days LOL.....give someone a uniform et etc |

A chairman who doesn't feel the need to have a page in the programme talking tedious crap.........now if that ain't OLD SKOOL footy I don't know what is In the good old days of the 70s/80s/90s the Chairman thought so much of us fans he let us stand in the pissing rain uncovered and didn't even provide humane toilet facilities, never mind world class catering. People have short memories and forget how shit fans were treated "in the good old days". Chairmen never gave a flying feck about the fans. Not all is right with footy but when I think back to HAPPY days it makes me shudder........what you forgot to mention is having stood in the pissing rain you then had to run the gaunlet of mindless thugs who wanted to kick your head in in the name of the beautiful game. |

I thought I'd read through the TUI thread just to see what I was missing. It looks like a rehash of a thousand threads that have been and gone. I did notice a comment to Bombay from Nick: "I was positive about the new set up, right up to last June when they refunded my season ticket money without reason" So I assume that this means that all his negativity about the club and Cortese comes down to the one thing - his Season Ticket. so his ticket got lost in the post and ended up in Bombay? |

If it's a willy measuring competition I would just like to say that I am not getting involved unless there is some kind of handicap system. put a weight on it - FACT at worst it'll go black FPS I once heard the carers at my cousin's place discussing how they used to go up to Yorkshire to get some black cock. I'm surprised you have only just arrived at that assumption (assuming you have!). What has annoyed me most about Nick's negative agenda is that he refuses to acknowledge he was in any way culpable for his ST being returned and when you really question his actions in detail it's not difficult to make an assumpton on the club's behalf as to why they chose to take the action they did. Hiding behind the ombudsman and I use that word in the loosest of terms, is further evidence that he can only see how he has allegedly been wronged and not what is wrong with both sides and the method of regulation. TUI is Nick's ball and he can play with it how he likes but for the record it is his agenda that I cannot support and what drove me to really stop posting other than for the ocassional missionary purposes (thanks from Channonite for that - nail on head!). Oh, and for the record Pat, we are not living in the age of the flat cap and rattle. Football is not some old boys club although I don't deny there may still be pockets that exist but do you really think that is the future solution for long term success? |
