I'm so pleased for the guy.
Always liked him as a player, long before he turned up here. Proper, honest nippy forward prepared to do a shift and put his body on the line to score goals. Of course, that results in spending far too long on the treatment table and subs benches.
It must feel so good for him, not only to be playing full matches but affecting the outcome of who does what in League 1. Just look at the pictures on the OS "Bees on their knees" (well done whoever wrote that!) DC looks so chuffed.
I know he'd probably still be warming the bench had Barney not got injured, but the past few weeks have underlined how football is now very much a squad game. I'm fookin' delighted that DC is part of our squad!

In a nutshell. These last few games have really shown the value of a good, big squad of players. To be able to bring someone of Connolly's undoubted pedigree into the team now is brilliant.

I can't think of any team in our division who could have coped with losing players as good as Morgan, Oxo, Barnard and Lallana all at once. Having Lallana back, and a fit DC, has happened at the right time for us. Connolly is such a good player and it's a shame injuries have blighted his career. |

Connolly is just class. To be able to call on his experience at this time of the season is fantastic.

I saw the highlights on the FL show and it rather looked like it hit the post and bounced away. |
