I took son, his girlfriend & my youngest daughter to the Huddersfield game, a very nice Saints employee gave us all flags outside the ground, my flag has been in my office at work, much to many visitors interest and scorn, since then we have been on a shocking run of form, therefore in the best traditions of changing something my flag has been moved to a different corner of the office, if we win tonight it's thanks to me, if we lose it's all RMs fault. And Stephens. And Kameldeens. And Adams. And Sports Republics. And VAR. And Sunaks. And the eclipse. And mild chedder. And Clive Woodward, in fact it's all Clives fault, thats it, bloody egg chaser . . . . . . Clives have got a lot to answer for, ask any 18th C Indian

Play offs basically secured there. Technically we need 1 point but come on...
It's the little slips above that give you even more hope though... don't get sucked in by it

I thought we were terrific in the first half. The injustice of the diving for the penalty galvanised the crowd and felt like the Coventry lad bottled it because of the crowd. Thought we were great after that, Aribo was unreal and I'm going to call out Stephens, he had Simms in his pocket. Adams also played a great 9 tonight. Cov were pretty poor, and didn't really look like scoring, and then they did. The Mara for Brooks was baffling when Armstrong was blowing out of his arse. Mara really is not up to it.
Wobbled for 5 but actually I thought it was pretty dull from there on in. I actually thought we managed the last 15 really well, and that was a nice cameo from Shea Charles who along with S Armstrong settled it down.
That bloody Ipswich game....read the table with us winning that and not them.....FFS. There is still a little to play here if we can win the next one.

I would add that the ref was appalling. Our ManU-supporting and part-time ref friend said he had counted five serious errors in the first half alone. I see that said ref is an Isle of Wight resident from Newport. He needs to have his work visa suspended for a few months (Sorry, spot51 !). And we all agreed that the Coventry fans were simply excellent. We had a good chat with a couple of them on the way to the ground. I hope they enjoy their day out at Wembley.

I only caught the last half an hour or so on the telly so can’t really comment, but I agree about Shea Charles. Really neat touches, great composure and gave us some control. We can’t compare him to freaks like Kobe Mainoo, but how many other players in his position at his age are that good? I can see him blossoming into some footballer.

Solent made it seem as though we weren’t that great in the second half. Nice to hear we were actually still playing well.
I saw the “foul” for the Coventry penalty this morning. How did the lino not see that was a dive?

Moving the flag to a different part of the office clearly worked . . . . . . so, it's not Clives fault after all.
For 60 minutes we were excellent, as tbf we have been for most of the season, and then, a bit like my golf, we suddenly lost the ability to play, and then with the addition of Charles/Stu we got it back again and saw out the game pretty professionally, something else that would have gained us a fair few points this season.
Oh for what might have been - there are many games we can point to where we only got 1 point that should have been 3, or we got 0 when we should have got 1 - but Easter is the clincher, if we could have beaten Boro or Blackburn and held onto a draw against Ipswich we would have 3 more points, Ipswich would have 2 less, we would still be in the mix, as it is any of the top 3 now dropping points just emphasises our frustration at not being able to hold onto leads, convert chances into goals and dominance into wins.
Coventry fans were excellent!!
We can still win the playoff final!!

It's been said we are flat track bullies but I think the definition of bullies works too. When we are allowed to do what we want we look good. Coventry were the epitome of a team with no real chance of going up but playing at half speed as they have a Wembley cup game coming up.
However, as soon as anyone stands up to us we crumple like a house of cards. That last 20 minutes was abject. Martin seems to have built a very frail team. I can't see any way we will be mentally strong enough to cope with the playoffs with the potential for 2 sets of extra time and pens. We'll just fall apart.

Coventry fans were excellent!! They always are Mush. Feel so sorry about what happened to their club. Piss poor financial planning and England's failed World Cup bid saw them lose their ground and then cop the SISU hedge fund bullet that we dodged. They've had to watch "home" games in Northampton and Birmingham and even today are paying rent to play at their own ground to OOTC Mike Ashley! When we got back into the Prem in 2012 our final game was against Cov. They went down to the 3rd tier that day but all I got from the Cov fans I met that afternoon was delight for us (one of their long time EPL sparring partners) getting back there. Glad to see them on an upward trajectory now. If they and us both get back to the Prem in the next few years I'll believe there is some justice left in this awful world.
