I've been watching Martin Terrier I hope he's the sort of player who runs around madly and snaps at player's ankles.

I've been watching Martin Terrier I hope he's the sort of player who runs around madly and snaps at player's ankles. I admit I was hoping that but he is just a clever forward with an eye for goal. If we are looking for a second forward to play alongside BBD my next hope would be the Swiss lad Vargas at Augsburg.

Totally agree with this. I really don’t think this is a signing we should be pursuing.

There’s a gaping hole (crikey!) up front, the dressing room is full of tricky wingers and we’re (supposedly) looking at…another winger?!

Dibling is the one that's looked more ready to me. SAA looked good at the beginning of last season in sub appearances but then struggled when given more opportunities. Dibling's few cameos, he looked confident and capable and not out of place. I liked the goal from SAA in that clip, but that's the picture definition of a pre-season friendly goal. There's just an asterisk in my head that at PL level you do not get so much time and space to waltz through players like that. Unless he's taken a big jump forward from last season, I'm not so sure he's PL ready.
But I agree with the general point, and if we do sign that Palace winger, then either we're not managing the pathway well or for all Russ' assertion that we have top young players, they actually dont believe SAA is going to deliver on his promise. Truth be told, we have an awful recent record at successfully pathwaying young players. Smallbone is the exception and finds himself making it into the first team probably through his patience being longer due to him being a fan of the club. Tella did an interview recently and basically said he saw no way forward in the season before he went to Burnley.
Great Russ has made SAA and Dibling and a few others feel integrated and motivated that they can make this season's squad. But with what's happened to Maghoma, with what happened to Tella and Reed before - are we going to properly manage these young players where the manager and the player have a close understanding of where the player is in his development?

Giant baby throws rattle out of pram Jolly good. Endgame time. That's him forfeiting the 'loyalty bonus' which probably closes the small gap between their last offer and what we now want.

Whoever sanctioned the signings of TP and Sulemana should be used as a stationary target in shooting practice.
The club might as well have done a KLF and set fire to £40m.
We could have bought someone good for that.

Yeah, don't worry. Neither have been signed for Saints as far as I've read. They're off to Turkey. Can't see how this benefits us, but I suppose that's not the point.
