ooh excellent...thinking of dipping my toe back into the vinyl. what is a good not too expensive set up for someone who doesn't need or intend to a nerd about things, just play some records an' that and have an excuse to rummage through charity shop record bins again.

I find that confusing and scary. I do want a new turn table though. It is less "confusing and scary" and more "Vic Reeves rubs his thighs" It looks fabulous doesn't it?

I find that confusing and scary. I do want a new turn table though. It grates hearing/reading people, like this advertiser, who write things like 'purchased by myself' ..... it's 'purchased by me' you annoying twonk!! I daresay he's another of those people who write 'Should of, could of , would of' - grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr *Grumpy Old Men style rant over.

Do it, get more vinyl. I wish there were more shops in Southampton that sold vinyl. At the moment there is the Oxfam Record shop, plus about 3 records in HMV and that's it. I want to work in a record shop, a proper one. Selling vinyl mail order is probably the closest I'll get though.

As a sort of local, have you ever come across (arf) the reggae shop just off Croydon High St. Marvellous, that is, especially when they put their speakers out on the pavement... makes Croydon almost seem bearable.
