There's a nice YouTube video of this new lad that shows a lot of good attributes for a DM. I know a YouTube video is nothing to go on but two things I was impressed with was how he tackles and stays on his feet and how he makes himself big whilst moving to protect the ball.

Not on the OS as such, but Ralph is quite explicit in the post match interview.

Leicester, Everton and Arsenal have all been linked with Diallo this year, the Foxes having seen a bid rejected by Brest back in January. Defensive midfielder was needed and now we have one. Proofs in the pudding as they say but today is turning out to be promising.

Don't be surprised to see us 'reshuffle' our goalkeeping squad tomorrow. Angus to Stoke.....Butland to SMS, a deal that was put on the back burner a month ago, but has been resurrected by the coaching staff.

I think both keepers are good, but have lost their way. A change would probably do both good.

Face value it seems an odd one, but I think I can see some logic in it. We want Gunn to get first team game time so if he goes to Stoke and Butland comes here we get a decent keeper for our bench whilst getting game time for a keeper we hope will become our long term no 1.

Can't see Butland coming here to sit on the bench.
Torygraph says we have contacted Man Utd re Brandon Williams on loan.

Can't see Butland coming here to sit on the bench. Maybe right, I guess he'd back himself to challenge Mccarthy for first choice but at the moment Mccarthy has the shirt and number and seems to be adjusting to the sweeper keeper role now. Will be interesting as if Butland does come we'll have 3 recent England International keepers on our books, none of whom are really that highly rated

You and your bizarre love-in with McCarthy! It seems a very sensible idea. We have 3 keepers, one on a huge wage and far too immobile to play sweeper keeper role, one who is really nothing more than a PL backup keeper and a young keeper we paid a fortune for but looks like being a bust but we need to ship of on loan somewhere to see if we can improve him. Butland would be an unquestioned number 1. Has he even had a dip in form? I think he's just been caught up in playing for a team on a downward spiral. The only question would be who should be our no 2?
