Hear this at about 4 from somebody connected with FA but did not believe it!
What a great weekend, Saints promoted, Pompey relegated, Arry passed over for the England job..
Think Hodgson is a better bet the Arry to be honest, but I might be alone here.

I'm imagining the look on that horrible little bugger's face and having a bloody good laugh. What an evil little man he is.

If they'd wanted Arry, they'd have done it already. My sense is they never wanted him and I am delighted with this news. He did a great job with Switzerland.

I think Arry may have done alright. TBF Spuds have been quite good the last few years. I know he has a bit of Saints baggage an' stuff but I guess we may never know. Quite funny though!

Great news. Hodgson is the better coach and the better man. He's proved it by getting better results when the egos aren't around so with any luck he'll be brave enough to ditch a load of the "golden generation" and start properly with the hungry youngsters!

I hope and think you're right about this! The thought of Hodgson as manager has actually done the impossible, I'm interested in the England football team again

Part of me wanted Redknapp. Especially after his recent court case and the bearing of his soul as a defence. I'm sure the FA listened to that and gracefully backed away. As B3nny says RH appointment has made me raise an eyebrow and I might actually show a bit of interest in the Euro's now. Unleash the youth and build for the future. I'm preparing to be disappointed.

So what do we think? Was Harry passed over because they genuinely feel Woy is a better manager? Because he was too expensive? Too dodgy? Or did the FA miraculously get something right for a change and realise that he is an unbelievably massive c*n*?

Or did the FA miraculously get something right for a change and realise that he is an unbelievably massive cnut? Who knows... I imagine that they'dve preferred him in a jobs-for-the-boys sort of way but realised appointing him was a PR-disaster-waiting-to-happen. The FA are nothing if not keen on protecting their own fat arses.
