Gunn to Leeds is a rumour. Thoughts? I think he has a lot of potential and would hope only a loan. But I would rather see McCarthy as first choice here and Forster given a chance as 2nd I think that since McCarthy came back into the side he has put to bed any debate about who our first choice should be. So Gunn will probably be in for a longer wait to be number one than he would have hoped and he might feel like Leeds is a good option for him now. Also, I don't think Forster is at the point in his career where Saints backup is worth his time.I think this all depends on what the truth is about Forster and it's difficult for us fans to do much more than guess. I can't help thinking the best solution is for Celtic to buy Forster and we keep Gunn. Gunn was so highly rated when we bought him and although he hasn't really justified that when he has played it might come back to bite us if we let him go. This. He is telling everyone in Glasgow he is coming back to Saints to be our FIRST CHOICE Keeper.

Unrealistic expectation based on McCarthy performances since the restart

McCarthy has improved a lot recently, but an in form Forster is still better.

Angus is like that donkey we bought off Spurs years ago, nothing like as good as touted.
If Leeds want him, they are welcome, it will make them much easier to beat for us

Anyone watch German football or follow USA internationals (orde?). We're being linked with a midfielder from Schalke Weston (Shore) McKinnie. Twitter seem very excited by this but I've never heard of the lad.

Anyone watch German football or follow USA internationals (orde?). We're being linked with a midfielder from Schalke Weston (Shore) McKinnie. Twitter seem very excited by this but I've never heard of the lad. Texas kid, was in the FC Dallas academy and spurned a first team call up to go to Europe, so I never got to see him play here. Called up to the US mens national team and has been good there. Scored the fastest ever hat-trick in USMNT history in 13 minutes against Cuba apparently. This is what the Dallas soccer guys who follow him were saying a couple of weeks ago: Weston McKennie (AP - Schalke 04/Bundesliga): Weston was a good player on a bad team once the Bundesliga season resumed. You could say he was the standout player on his team down the stretch, as Schalke 04 managed to avoid relegation. McKennie was also one of the first European based players, if not the first, to openly voice his support for the Black Life Matters movement. He was one of the players who effected in a positive way how leagues around the world handled player protests and race relations.
With the Bundesliga season over and Schalke 04 believed to be in bad shape financially, he is one of the most coveted American players in the world. The latest team rumored to have entered the race to woo McKennie is in the Premier League
**embeded Tottenham tweet showing interest in McKinnie**Other teams said to be interested are Liverpool, Wolves, Newcastle, Everton, along with clubs in France, Spain, and Germany. Schalke 04 is said to be asking 20-30 million euros, and will not prevent his departure so long as their price is met.
I'll say this - the FC Dallas academy is really good. There's a reason Bayern Munich decided to partner with them and trade academy players for training. It's so they can poach the good ones. Weston was I think the first to make the move from FCD to Germany in 2016, made first team for Schalke I think in 2017, Bayern partnered with FCD Academy in 2019 - coincidence? I don't honestly know. It would be exciting for me personally to have a Texas kid on the team though, so I'm hoping to happens!

A bit odd; Vokins looks pretty decent as backup, so I hope we're not planning to sell Bertie and have this kid v Vokins for the LB slot
